Virgo: organize your mind!
As I was studying a chart, I suddenly realized that I didn't remember what Virgo was all about!
This is what happens when you read deep thinkers like Liz Greene and a few others. You might get lost in a labyrinth of nuances and additional information and end up completely confused.
To put a bit of order in my mind, I had to establish a proper classification.
For that purpose, I used key questions.
The first key question is: "What?"
What is Virgo about?
To this, three main keywords answer: Work, Health, Service. Let's also keep in mind that the ruler is Mercury, planet of the mind.
From these keywords, a few other important key words can be logically deduced: Skills for instance, is necessary for work.
Profession, skills, body, mind-body connection, medicine, hygiene, herbs, chores, daily routine, natural rhythms, organization, hierarchy... Virgo and the sixth house are about all these themes.
Strangely, little animals and uncles/aunts are also included in the 6th house package. Little animals may have to do with the inferior status which is associated with the notion of service.
The second key question is "How?"
How are Virgos?
The key words here can also be logically deduced from the "What" key words.
Professional, critic, common sense, adaptable, hard working, organized, rational, humble or suffering from inferiority complexes (whilst being sure to be right) self contained...
Health and perfectionism lead Virgo to the waiting room of their GP after reading with too much attention a medical encyclopedia.
A Virgo quotation: "Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and the one who humbles himself will be exalted.” (Gospel, Luke 14-11)
The third key question is "Who?" ...
What kind of person is a typical Virgo? Conjuring up characters is a way to use the right brain and retrieve intuitive information about the Virgo energy.
A doctor, a nurse, a scientist, a herbalist, a dietitian, a servant, a worker, an artisan, a physiotherapist, an accountant, a housemaid, a seamstress...
It is possible to use other questions to find other information, for instance: Where? Where do we find Virgo energy in activity? In the kitchen, in the laboratory looking into a microscope, in the cellar, in the hospital, in the workshop or the office...
Doesn't it feel good to have all bits of knowledge nicely tagged and organized into logical categories? Now, I can learn more about Virgo and I will know how to articulate anything new to my already existing knowledge...
